Vanessa Drew has been a keen horticulturalist all her life. She writes as "The Garden Goddess" in the Property Today supplement of The Newsletter and has made several radio and television appearances. Qualified in horticulture and design, she believes it is important to be able to view a garden from a designer's prospective, and the design from a plantswoman's perspective. It is imperative to understand the habit of plants, knowing how they will look throughout the year, and how they will relate to the rest of the garden.
When asked why she became a garden designer in Northern Ireland, Vanessa replies:
"I love plants, good design, chatting to people, travelling the country and having a project on the go. Being a garden designer in Northern Ireland is the perfect combination of all of these aspects. I can't think of any other job I would rather do!"
