Vanessa Drew has been a keen horticulturalist all her life. She writes as “The Garden Goddess” in the Property Today supplement of The Newsletter. In 2016 she won “Columnist of the Year” for her gardening column in a local magazine. Vanessa has made several radio and television appearances, including a regular slot on U105 radio & Q Radio. Qualified in horticulture and design, she believes it is important to be able to view a garden from a designer’s prospective, and the design from a plantswoman’s perspective. It is imperative to understand the habit of plants, knowing how they will look throughout the year, and how they will relate to the rest of the garden.
Vanessa gives regular gardening talks to groups & associations such as the Women's Institute, Mothers' Union, Gardening Groups, U3A, etc. If you would like to book Vanessa to give a talk to your association, please contact us. When asked why she loves her job as a garden designer, Vanessa replies: “I love plants, good design, chatting to people, travelling the country and having a project on the go. Being a garden designer is the perfect combination of all of these aspects. I can’t think of any other job I would rather do!”
